Dear Alumni community,

As you know, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck the southern part of Türkiye and the northern part of Syria earlier this week. This has resulted in a tragic and very significant loss of life, now numbering in the thousands. At AISB, we have many students from a Turkish background who may be directly or indirectly affected.

A parent representative from our Turkish community requested that I pass on a resource that is offering humanitarian in this situation. This is the Ministry of Interior of Türkiye, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency fund (AFAD) that is raising money to help people whose lives are affected by this terrible natural disaster. To contribute, please visit this site.

We are sure that many of you already have sent help, and keep sending thoughts and prayers for our sisters, brothers, and children in Türkiye and Syria, and we thank you in advance for taking action via the above-mentioned link, or sending any form of assistance to the people of these two countries.
