Breakthrough Junior Challenge is a global science video competition, aiming to develop and demonstrate young people’s knowledge of science, generate excitement in these fields, support STEM career choices, etc.

One of our alumni, Ana Calina, is one of the competitors of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge and she arrived among first 15 students from differnt countries, such as US, Canada, India, Egypt, Australia, etc.

She joined her two passions, music and math, in one challenge and produced a video that was liked by many science professionals and aspirants. This is an amazing achievement, and this is not the only reason why we are so proud of her. During the pandemic lock down Ana, together with few other friends, created a website through which they managed to raise 4,000 Euro, and they divulged the funds raised for the purchase of personal protection equipment for the pediatric hospital Gregore Alexandrescu in Bucharest.

For those of you that can read in Romanian language, we would like to share with you some more about Ana in this article from Republica.ro.

Way to go, Ana! Go VAMPIRES!
