Who we are? Overview
Lavacow is the first auction house dedicated to Emerging European Art. With us, you can find a fresh selection of affordable, high quality art. New promising artists, on their way to public acclaim, are presented alongside internationally established artists.
Tasks you’ll be juggling
The principal task of a Business Developer is to research and secure new business opportunities. Networking will be the key of this role!

  • You will act like as an influencer, using your strong communication skills to engage new and existing clients in buying and selling at LavaCow;
  • You should be eager learn and grow in our company by demonstrating your ability to adapt and embrace the change by being a self- starter every single day;
  • You must keep up with market trends within the industry and so you will be continually researching and exploring the world of art;
  • You will develop a strategic long-term business development program, and provide structure and direction to the business getting in the international market;
  • Drive key business proposals in coordination with Leadership on competitive and/ or significant business opportunities;
  • You will assist with exhibition set up. Actively participate in presale exhibition and events, including traveling exhibitions, to cultivate bidders and promote de sale;
  • You will oversee sales and external seller relationship functions;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Your credentials
  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations or Communications;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial skills (curiosity, strategic thinking, efficiency, etc.);
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential;
  • Financial analysis skills are a must.
