Our restaurant is the material realization of Chef Zoran's love for fresh fish and seafood.  Zoki, as we call him, was born in Rijeka, a coastal city in northern Croatia, located a few minutes drive from the world-famous truffle peninsula, Istria. With his mother running the town's local fish market, Zoran's upbringing has been all about the Mediterranean greatest culinary treats and wines and, most importantly, Croatia's magnificent freshly-caught fish and seafood. 

Having put on his first professional apron when he was only 14 years old, working in the busy restaurants of Croatia's coastal towns, chef Zoran has been now practicing his métier for more than 17 years.

With his talent being heard of overseas, Zoran first moved to Bucharest in 2013, as Head Chef of Novi Aquarium. He then continued taking over of the kitchens of some of the best restaurants in town – Raionul de Peste, Ago and Le Club, enchanting even the most exigent clientele in Bucharest. Right before co-founding the Fish House, Zoki spent a few months training in the kitchens of London's top 2 star Michelin restaurants.

Believing in Zoran's talent and having seen his dedication throughout their long years of friendship, Vik and Jan decided to join the Fish House adventure after their return to Romania.
